WASTE DISPOSAL ACCORDING TO EUROPEAN METHOD SOON IN NIS

In Nis will start from March organized collection of dry waste that can be recycled from the purchase of a buckets and a special truck that has arrived at the recycling center JKP "Mediana".

This is about the realization of the second phase of the project CBC Nis and the Bulgarian Municipality of Pernik, worth 480,000 euros, which will be in line with European standards to improve waste management system in Nis. Households of City Municipalities of Palilula and Mediana will soon receive total of 18,300 plastic buckets and 138,000 plastic bags for disposal of packaging waste. Plastic, metal, glass, paper and cardboard will collect special truck low production which is already at the recycling center JKP "Mediana". Thanks to the project of cross-border cooperation, Niš will be one of the first cities in Serbia to implement European waste disposal. According to the directives of the European Union by 2020, 70 percent of such waste should be recycled.
